If you want to remove the old graphics card in your system and upgrade your hardware to a new video card, you have to follow certain steps.

•Step 1: Uninstall the drivers of the old graphics card in your computer. Now download the drivers of the new graphics card that you bought and then store them on your computer system.

•Step 2: Now remove the overclocks; these are set to increase the performance of your system by increasing the rate of the clock. You have to set the system to the original specifications and then turn off your computer system.

•Step 3: Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. Now open the cabinet and also search for the PCIexpress slot; this slot comes with a locking grip for mounting the graphics card.

•Step 4: Now you have to remove the older graphics card and mount the new video card. Make sure you store the older graphics card in an anti-static bag for using as a back-up.

•Step 5: Now you may switch on the computer system. Start the machine and install the drivers that you downloaded previously.

The video card or the graphics card is used for the purpose of ensuring good performance, supporting dual screens for games and driving a digital screen. If you still face problems with the up-gradation, you may contact a reputed computer repair service for online PC support.
